will get you thinking about your membership business and what it’s going to take to sustain it. Most importantly, this section will get you thinking about what it’s going to take to make it worth YOUR while.
You need to give your best estimate of the revenue you plan to bring in each month, considering all products and services included in your membership fee, MINUS the percentage of revenue you plan to give up to pay affiliate commissions. We will get into other costs in the next section, but for now it’s helpful to consider affiliate commissions now.
Here is the formula you can use to calculate your total monthly revenue:
Total Monthly Revenue = A*T1 + B*T2 – [A*T1*C + B*T2*D]
A = Monthly Membership Fee
B = Fee for Additional Products or Services (1x fee)
C = Percentage of Affiliate Commission for Monthly Membership Fee
D = Percentage of Affiliate Commission for Additional Products or Services
T1 = Average Paying Members Per Month
T2 = Total Additional Products of Services Sold Per Month
